Sorry about the page not being updated toward the end of the season, but now that the season is complete, here are the summer conditioning options for track athletes.
Running:
Anyone who wants to improve in distance running/overall endurance is welcome to join the XC summer training at Tunnel Park from 8-9:15. M, W, F. It is open to anyone who wants to run. Starts June 14th.
Lifting:
For all of the athletes- year round weight training is important, but especially if you want to improve in sprints, jumps, power.
Great news for this summer! There is weight training offered for FREE at the North HS and there is a female only session! We don't have to worry about all of the football players.
Weight Training is available Mon and Wed 10:30-12 at the North HS- Starts June 12th.
CAMPS:
One way to make strides forward in your events is to go to camps- get coaching from college coaches/athletes, interact with other athletes from across the state, etc.

MEET:
If you are looking for a competition this summer....it could be a way of seeing how your conditioning is going this summer. There is a meet at East Kentwood in August.

The most important thing is for you to STAY ACTIVE! Run, swim, bike, lift, climb, go to the gym, hire a personal trainer, etc.
If you are serious about improving as an athlete, you get out of it what you put into it.
Also, if you know of any other opportunities that I have not mentioned here, please let me know!
Thanks and GO WO!
